Surface of Things -Thoughts
Today, I realized how much I enjoy the surface of things.
There is so much to enjoy at the surface, I see no point in going deep.
I like the millimeter of skin that enjoys the boundary between air and water when you submerge. I like when air…I like skin, I like how it covers this entire mechanism of our bodies that fails on us so many times without us knowing and seems so uncomplicated, that you don’t even worry when that happens.
I never liked taking decisions, but I love being between 2 situations.
I like to fly, strangely not fly but leave earth. The small portion of a flight in which the airplane accelerate and the second in which you feel it just about to rise.
The best memory of my childhood is a bite, an innocent bite I took on a neighbor’s face, and even today, when I meet her, I try to see somewhere beneath her makeup the marks I left on her surface. And there’s a strange joy imagining it’s map, the different angles at different points on her cheek, where these can be.
I love the creative process of our mind, I love the sudden joy that hits when you feel you had a great idea and it’s all yours. Most of the time I am inert, but when that happen it feels so good, I can feed my mind on it for a long time.
I love light, I love artificial light since it gives you the pleasure of seeing the place of all that melt between dark and light. I see no point in going deep where is only dark to face. There’s so much more in living at the surface, where all the small things happen.
So yes, call me superficial. But hey, all the vitamins are in the fruit’s peel.
